About Adam Blackburn
Adam Blackburn is a practicing visual artist from the United Kingdom, currently situated in mid-west Wales studying for his MA in Fine Art. His research field is the medium of paint and its properties. His current projects include 'Composed Spontaneity', an investigation into the physical engagement with the medium combined with the 'fluid' spontaneous nature of paint.
Since 2006 he has made drawings, photographs, prints, paintings and constructions that aim to explore and express the different properties of paint. His works (predominantly abstract in style) result from an engagement with the medium, existing of a sease of control and encouraged freedom of the medium and employed physical processes and techniques.
Adam Blackburn's work openly embraces a preoccupation with a love of the language of paint and the physical act of painting through research, experimentation and development of the medium.
